IMPORTANT CHANGES FROM 1ST OCTOBER 2018 (Care navigation)

Care navigation is being implemented by the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) on the 1st October 2018.  In order for us to direct you to the correct service our specially trained receptionists (who know about many services that do not need a GP appointment) will need to ask you a little about the problem you are calling with.  Of course you do not need to tell us about your problem, BUT it will help us to direct you to the correct service and potentially save you time by avoiding multiple appointments and wait times.  If you would like to discuss your condition privately please inform the receptionist.  Please be patient with the receptionists as this is a new service.  Thank you

FLU CLINICS will be held from 8.45 - 12.45 on the following Saturdays -

  • 27th October (We request patients over the age of 65 DO NOT attend this session.  The flu vaccine Trivalent, for the over 65's is not due to be delivered until Tuesday 30th October.  Delivery dates are unfortunately out of our control and are set by the suppliers).
  • 3rd November
  • 10th November

Only flu's will be dealt with on these dates, prescriptions will not be handed out.

TELEPHONE SYSTEM

On Tuesday 23rd October the surgery had a new telephone system installed and this is causing us a few 'teething problems' which we know are very frustrating for our patients.  We would appreciate your patience in this matter as it is out of our control.  KComm and BT are looking into these issues and will hopefully resolve them shortly.

You can book and cancel appointments online by obtaining a username and password from reception. Please remember to bring two forms of identification with you.

Friends and Family Test - please complete the survey under the 'Have your say' section. We had 1 Extremely Likely reply  for last month with no other sections. Paper versions available at the reception desk in the surgery.

Car park - The car park is owned by the landlord and therefore out of our control.  It is used by three separate organisations and each is independent of the other therefore there is very limited parking.  There is alternative paid parking on Norwood, North Bar Within or Saturday Market.  Patients wishing to use the car park to attend an appointment are requested to give plenty of time to park as a space may not become available for some time.
