Noticeboard

Covid Vaccination programme
We are delighted to be offering the COVID-19 vaccine to our patients, with the rollout well underway as we vaccinate our more vulnerable patients, care home residents and staff first.

We understand there is a huge amount of interest in the vaccine however, please do not contact the Practice to book an appointment. The vaccination programme will take months, it will not happen in a few days. Please be patient, do not worry, no one will be excluded from the programme and when it is the right time for you to be vaccinated, we will contact you to book your appointments. In the meantime, do continue to follow all the guidance to control the virus and save lives.

You can get information about the COVID-19 Vaccination online at www.nhs.uk/covidvaccination.

If you are asked to come into the surgery for a face-to-face appointment, please remember to wear a face covering. Measures are in place to keep you safe from infection during your visit to the surgery.

For patients concerned that they have coronavirus or may have come into contact with someone who has, go to the online self-referral portal (https://self-referral.test-for-coronavirus.service.gov.uk/antigen/name) or call 119
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY.

closed_signWhen We Are Closed

When our Health Centre is closed and you contact us, you will automatically be transferred to the out of hours service. The out of hours period is from 6pm to 8am on weekdays and all day during weekends and bank holidays.

This service is only for those who cannot wait until normal Health Centre hours - if you require general medical advice please ring 01482 862733 or dial 111 (NHS 111).

Out of hours service - Freephone  111

Your call will be answered by experienced trained advisers who will ask for your name, address and details of the medical condition. This conversation is used to assess the urgency of your medical condition.  Your call will be prioritised and then forwarded to either a doctor or nurse for assessment. Following this, a doctor or nurse will call you back and you may be asked to attend a community hospital or healthcare centre for further assessment and possible treatment.

Please note, these telephone calls are recorded for legal purposes. To ensure that your records are complete, details of out of hours consultations are passed to the practice and are retained in your own medical records, as well as by the provider. Your out of hours care is provided by NHS 111.

NHS 111

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111 by dialing 111. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
